A non-profit organization turned to TransLingua for interpretation services for an international conference in New York City. The organization welcomed participants from a host of countries, including Azerbaijan, Canada, China, Ivory Coast, Ecuador, Georgia, Ghana, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Mexico, Mozambique, Papua New Guinea, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, Trinidad and Tobago, and Uganda.
The topic of the conference was the management of oil, gas, and mineral resources. Not only was TransLingua able to meet all their interpretation needs--simultaneous interpreters, interpretation booths and headsets--but also translated hundreds of pages of conference materials, using linguists who had in-depth knowledge of the field. Furthermore, we provided consecutive interpreters for accompanying spouses during the conference to facilitate their stay in New York.
