March is an important month: it marks the beginning of spring with more sunshine and budding flowers, as well as optimism and the hope that we can make a positive difference this year. This is especially true for women from all over the world, as we celebrate our social, economic, cultural and political achievements and recommit to our ongoing struggle for equity, inclusion and empowerment on International Women’s Day (www.internationalwomensday.com) on March 8, 2022.
As a certified women-owned and managed language services provider, TransLingua also looks forward to joining the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women, UN Women, and gender equality and climate change activists in the upcoming 66th session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW66) from March 14 – 25, 2022. This year the conference will be focusing on the following topics:
We are proud to support organizations committed to making conference presentations, roundtable discussions and workshops accessible to women from all regions of the world with translation and interpretation services in over 100 languages. These organizations include Missions to the UN, as well as NGOs such as Creating Resources for Empowerment in Action, Outright Action International, and Konrad Adenauer Stiftung.
This month we will also celebrate individual women, small women-owned businesses, and women’s organizations dedicated to empowering other women. Please follow our social media to discover their inspiring stories, creative energy, mission-driven purpose and the impact they have in their immediate environment and beyond.
